Jacksonville Children's Chorus Invited to 2027 International Children's Choir Festival

The Jacksonville Children's Chorus (JCC) will travel to England July 6–14, 2027, to participate in the International Children's Choir Festival, with performances and musical experiences in London, Canterbury and Rochester.

The Touring Choir will join young singers from other participating choirs for rehearsals, workshops and performances throughout the festival. Highlights will include concerts at Canterbury Cathedral and Rochester Cathedral, rehearsals at The King's School in Canterbury, and a masterclass with internationally recognized British composer and conductor Bob Chilcott.

Tuesday, July 13, 2027 – Festival Concert, Rochester Cathedral

In addition to their performances, JCC singers will experience some of England's historic and cultural landmarks, including Leeds Castle, Canterbury and Rochester. While in London, the singers will also attend a West End performance before traveling to Kent for the festival's Canterbury and Rochester activities.

The festival repertoire will feature works representing a range of musical styles and traditions, including selections by Bob Chilcott, Reena Esmail, Orlando Gibbons, Henry Purcell, Sarah Quartel and Will Todd.
