Dr. Julie M. Song serves as a Voice Instructor for the Touring Choir, Concert Choir, and Vocal Exploration programs at the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus (JCC). A dedicated music educator and performer with extensive conducting and vocal experience across the USA and South Korea, Dr. Song is passionate about helping singers of all ages cultivate healthy technique, expressivity, and a lifelong love for music.
With over 20 years of experience conducting church choirs in New York and Korea, Dr. Song regularly performs as a vocalist at local churches and serves as a frequent adjudicator for Music Performance Assessment (MPA) events. Her teaching spans K-12 classrooms, university programs, and adult lifelong learning ensembles, covering a wide range of genres including classical, musical theater, pop, K-pop, and sacred music.

In addition to her work at JCC, Dr. Song is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Music Education at the University of North Florida. She previously taught at the University of Florida, New York University, and several universities in South Korea. Her research focuses on vocal health education for teachers and students, teacher identity, and pedagogical engagement in music learning. Widely published in leading journals such as the International Journal of Music Education, Update: Applications of Research in Music Education, and the Journal of Music Teacher Education, she also serves on the Advisory Editorial Committee for Music Educators Journal.
